Arr! Another luverly night in Bondi. The Royal has become another one of our homes in town, we're even starting to do some Sundays there, as of next week :-)

There was much love at the Royal last night. Shout outs to Rosanna, Kyle and Melissa, Jude, our Irish Visitors, the Drink Ninja (dude you know who you are) and the regulars and randoms of the Royal.

The last time we played there, I was trying out some new lights and the total workload got a bit much for me, so I wised up and got some help. Thanks Rich!

I even had enough time to take a snap of the boys as they were setting up.

I replaced the old, weird, non standrd DMX lights with some new ones and brilliantly set them to AUTO (it's gneius ideas like that one that earn me the big bucks, kids. Pure gneius)

I'd show you some pics but I didn't auto adjust the camera on my phone so everything is as dark as @^*# and unuseable

Genius.

Anyway.

So yes, last night was all about finding solutions to your production problems.

Lighting? Check.

Sound Stuff? Check.

What about that that wonky bar stool that I used to hold up my Harp Master 3000(tm, patent pending in Botswana) Harmonica Case, that failed and sent everything flying at a few recent gigs?

Well forget that, cos here at MJEB labs we are all about the tech! Presenting!

Theo has come to my rescue with his Floor Tom Case...err...I mean, a high precision polymer cylinder with reinforced Harp Case-Stand Interface (a lid) and ergonomic positional stabiliser (a flat base and it's not too short) and anti gravity properties (it stops the case from falling to the floor).

Right. There you have it and that about wraps it up.

Oh. Sorry? How did the gig go. Great. Just fine. We've introduced a new slipstream set list using another MJEB lab patented algorthym..igloorithm...aortsy..wibbl....A new thing we do with the setlist which makes it go fast. Vroom. The new songs are developing nicely, 'give me something I want' is still catchy, I'm digging 'twice shy girl' (all glorious 8 minutes of it) and I got a round of applause for playing Amazing Grace. Neat O.

Before I forget, big props to Rosie for eating the logistical Pie last night with the Van pickup and return. (Carl, come back!! We miss you and the van dude! Settle your lawsuits, ditch the mail order brides, come back and carry our stufff!)

Back at the Royal this Sunday 28th :-)
