Nobody Knows Better Than Me

Time's been my teacher

along the great road

his lessons are thorough

but his methods are slow

takes almost a lifetime to reveal

what he shows

and nobody

knows better than me

I've been a vagabond,

I've been a Rogue,

I've been pushed out and moved on

and done worse I suppose

but the strength of a man's

in his depth of resolve

and nobody

knows better than me

And I still believe the ideals of my youth

let them call me naiive

let them call me a fool

if you don't believe

doesn't mean it's untrue

to learn that you rise as you fall

the saint and the sinner in us all

and nobody,

knows better than me

My journeys not over,

though I've come quite a ways

leave them all smiling as I exit the stage

because truth and forgiveness are all that remain

and nobody,

knows better than me

And I still believe the ideals of my youth

let them call me naiive

let them call me a fool

if you don't believe

doesn't mean it's ain't true

and learn that you rise as you fall

the saint and the sinner in us all

and nobody,

knows better than me
