Session 4 - MRose's turn!

Back to work the day after the Five Dock Gig, in the downtime between Christmas and New Years Eve -that time when all things are in a curious state of limbo.

Once again, as we started to record, the clouds rolled in. Ok, so it was bright and sunny the day before but thats not the point. Its been COLD here at Christmas time....very strange.

So today was about getting the ryth..rhtyhsy...rh...MRoses bit down. A long session...

Paul on the couch...aww...little critter's all tuckered out. Note the Accordion beside him - that's Jim Finn's Fathers Accordion (try saying that a few times fast). Paul has some idea that one of us is going to play it. I disagree....but I did pick it up and try it...YIKES!!

Today, we had Roscoe with us, he's back from his trek around Tassie and is getting ready to record some of the songs he's written whilst in the services. Check out Roscoe and Paul jamming whilst Michael R is off in the other room recording:

Now Roscoe wont let me show his face, for operational security reasons, but anyone who has served with him ought to recognise that distinctive Blues Style!

Meanwhile, Mrose was laying down his solo's with Jim.

Now Mrose has hit some solid sounds in his playing of late, creating unreasonable expectations of constant awesomeness. He asked our opinions on the last solo of the day, after 7 hours of playing. After politeley listening to our input, he quickly formed the opinion that he shouldnt ask us our opinion.

As Roscoe noted, 'thats enough out of the peanut gallery'.

Nonetheless, I snuck around and recorded some of his Takes on the solo for Big Bird.

And then outside the window!

Until next time
