Sc2 Session #32 - Iphonics
Hey Folks.
We're 5 songs mixed, 7 to go, + a couple of fixes and oddments to sort out. For anyone curious as to the speed of progress, we're working 1 day a week at the moment (that's life folks).
Yesterday saw us mix High Cost of Lovin and That Smiles Not For Me. TSNFM isn't in the Live set yet and I'm having trouble with the bridge, so it might be time for a key shift (sigh)... Now a quick note for the iPhone peoples. Paul has gone iPhone bonkers to the point of playing various iPhone effects at the end of the track yesterday, which were spookily in tune with the melody. I have a feeling some of those effects (where copyright permits) will probably turn up on some recording...
We're scheduled to hit the project again next week, after our return from our Country Trip (Hurrah!) which would be good to complete, as we're also gearing up for the project currently SC4-EP2 entitled 'Dirt Music', some of which will be previewed during an acoustic set this weekend at our gig on Sunday.
FYI - the stuff on SC2 (Nuevo Retro) was written during and after the production of Whiskey Talkin' (SC1) and Spacejunk (SC3-EP1) and continuing this same process, whilst we've been finishing SC2, we've been working on stuff for another EP experiment.
Running Jody, Hollow Tree, Sweet as Pie, Tall Timbers and a bunch of other songs are getting put through the mill in anticipation of finishing SC2 and moving on to the next item of interest!
