Greetings fellow earthlings. A busy weekend was had by the lads, between the PI and the Time and Tide.

Carl, our Golden Roadie, Rosie and Theo compare notes
The PI gig is starting to become a local fixture and after a brief word to management to ensure the continued safety of patrons and guests, we had a grand night.  Sorry your song isn't ready yet Snowy - we have the chorus and the verses, but we're having trouble with the melody. We're working on it again tomorrow.

Some strange things happened at the Pendle Hill gig. We sold CD's before we started playing and people were singing along during the set because they knew the words! Weeeeeeeeird!,

We had a big request from Andrew for 'Merchandise' (also Rosie's favourite song), so we moved it up in the set so Andrew and missus could get home before the baby sitter left. His loving wife had to drag him bodily from the dance floor as he was getting his groove on.

Special mention for Audrey getting down on the dance floor, and also to Lynne, Jude, Kevin and Carol. Prune was back from his trip to the country to make sure we were keeping it real, and the whole night had a great vibe from start to finish.

If coming to hear music give someone respite from the normal troubles that assail them during a week, we're doing our job and the response you get from people who have had their heart lightened just a little, is reason enough to do it.

How blue?

The following day was a mid afternoon gig, which meant everyone had to crawl out of bed at a respectable hour (midday) and drive through a bright, clear and crisp winters day to enjoy an afternoon in the slanted sunlight at the rear of the Time and Tide.

Our regular, Roger, once again requested 'The Thrill is gone' and once again, we didn't do it. I keep trying Roger. Guitarists are almost completely uncontrollable.

Cheers to Wheels and Nigel for hanging out for the show. Wheels is a fan of Spacejunk and was eager to get a copy of Nuevo Retro, and I am eager to take his twenty bucks! Brilliant!

Carl reckoned my vocals sounded like a foghorn in the first set (Paul decided to make sure I had a cold the week before we go to record, gee thanks mate) but thanks to Codral and some form of nasty nasal spray, I was both buzzing off my little gourd and clear as a bell by the second set! Hurrah for Modern Pharmaceuticals!

When the Rugby Club turned up holding their trophy in the third set, we were not allowed to leave until we'd played a bunch more.

Cheers to Lindsay for making the trip over to watch us on a busy blues weekend.

This weekend we're at the Avalon RSL and the Wallacia hotel, then we're off to the country to go work on the next project.

Rgds
