Roadworks and Track works on the Blue Mountains line means a tight turning circle outside the Gearin Hotel. BEWARE!! Do not park your car near the Road Cones - the Bus Drivers need space to turn around!

Howdy Groovers. Happy Mothers Day!

We spent a great night in the mountains last night. The locals are very proud that the Gearin Hotel is Jack Thompsons Pub (now we can all get some sleep?) and will remind you that its Jacks Place at the slightest opportuniy.

Than being the case, I must commend Mr Thomspson on his choice of Art Deco Pubs. I'm a fan of Australian Art Deco and the Gearin is a good example of the style, it's modern but hasn't lost any of its charm.

If you're travelling up that way of an evening (because you're running late due to your drummer buying a new kit), just follow the Neon Lights:

A big Hey to the Relatives Read, who came by to visit with Paul, Jacquie, Rod and the gang and a big thanks to Louie on Sound. Louie plays in a moden anarcho-punk band on drums and vocals and added a little Anarchic Vibe on the effects during the mix.

Our support act had....err...well....they werent there. Oh well. Not sure about that one, but who cares! We were there, the food was there, the beer was cold, the air was cold, the buses fast and frequent. Mid Mountains Hop!

We had two sets, 9:30 till late and had a blast. MRose is still tweaking the set list - set one saw plenty of dancing, set two, less. Which means we put all the damn danceable numbers in the first set! Paul just pointed out we need more songs.

(sigh) we're behind schedule on the EP and midway through the 2nd album and he wants more songs.

Did I mention Mark got a new kit? For all you lovers of hitting things, here's some drum porn :-)

OMG. Mark slept with the kit last night. I will say no more on the subject. Just some more pics.

These may be the first images of Marks new kit, and I am posting them here so he can refer his friends and family to the pics! There ya go mark.

We had a great night at the Gearin and we're looking forward to returning there in the next few months.

Right.

We have a heck of a next couple of weeks - next weekend we're at St Johns Park supporting the Radiators, the week following we have three or four gigs in the week, ditto the week after, so it will be a busy time. Get out and see us now before we explode due to the pressure!!!!!

Until next time
