Big weekend of gigs. A shout out to Prune, Hamish and Sambo at the PI. By the end of the night the crazy dancing was happening and yes, once again, the requests for 'Copperhead Road' were present. Must learn that one.
Sunday saw us at the Harp in Tempe for a 4 band line up with Alter Ego and Los Skeletone (whose van rivals Carl's - watch out Carl!). The Cristina Crofts band had to pull out at the last minute due to a Airline Booking Malfunction which was a shame, but none of the bands complained about being able to play a little longer than scheduled.
Hey to Matt, Tony, Penny and the folks who joined us at the Harp for a great afternoon.
Cheers also to DDJ for the loan of some extra equipment bits (commiserations on insane percussionists).
We have (amazingly) a weekend off this coming weekend and then we're off to the country the following weekend (wagga?).
Talofa to Fatu, Hey to Prune and We Heard You, Snowy...hiding behind the pillar calling out 'Gary' when the crowd yelled 'more'.
Sneaky man that Snowy.
Big cheers to Lynne, Jackie and Jeff!
Good solid night last night. I am still surprised how well the acoustic stuff is settling in.
Oh, we had one interesting moment with a chap who was 'tired and emotional' as we say, during the first set. He proceeded to get even more tired and emotional as the night wore on. As a matter of fact by the end of the first set, he was as tired and emotional as a Newt.

Cheers to everyone who came out tonight to see us, but I have to make one special mention for a man who's got all our albums (all two of them so far) and has been to all the gigs we've done at Avalon. Or at least most of them. ok, enough qualifiers.
Ahem.
Dear Kim. Please forgive Glen for staying out to watch us tonight. I promised him I would post an apology for delaying him from getting home. I am also sorry if he's driving you nuts playing the first album. We'll have another one out soon and then he'll drive you nuts with that one too.
Um...Anyway...he didnt get too blind, was very well behaved and only stayed cos we had new material. But he was sure to let me know how much Dutch he'll be in tomorrow, so on behalf of the band, we ask you to forgive him.
There ya go Glen. I did my best mate, now the rest is up to you. I suggest flowers.
