Ok so after some messing about I've got this to sketch stage.
1. added Paul Surany's guitar concept in,roughly positioned it.
2. added eq and messed with it a lot on everything.
What's next?
1. Bass
2. replacing Paul Read's guitar guides with actual production tracks
3. replacing Paul Surany's MP3 samples with WAV finals
4. redoing the vox - Lyric edits, melody edits. I think this might need studio vocals cos it's kinda gentle vocals and a big-ass large diaphragm mic might be just the ticket here.
5.re-recording the harmonies
6. remixing.
I really am feeling the limits of my skills, but Mr Wizard has been of the opinion for a while that a little less 'knowing' makes for more interesting music. In which case bloody brilliant.
Meanwhile? buttons. I got'em, I am pushing them. What do they do? I am still working that out.
With this song now up to a development stage where input comes from the lads, I can turn my attention to other stuff.
It's September so we'll need to put a bit of work in if we would like to see an album out this year, but then again, maybe sharing it this way as is good as an album at the moment :)

While I move the studio I am temporarily working in Theo's Garage. We are officially a garage band now.
Psychedelic Surfer needs a cut and extend for a solo, Mr Wizard didnt like the version I sent out but that's cos he's expecting his guitars to be perfect, but I had to use the guide take cos I dont have anything better. I like the sound and unless he either gives me a: better take or: pries the mouse from my warm, strong fingers, it's gonna be how it is for now.
I'm starting off with adding the recorded drums now to The Yearning, will get it up to the same stage as Psych. Surf. and then send out. Ditto for 'heavens on my shoulder'.
That brings us to around 7 tracks for the year, 8 if you include Liquidator.
I've still got a few weeks of no gigging so I'll be doing what I can. Stay tuned for sample mixes over the next few days.

No gigs while T is on Hols, I'm mixing.
So far I am working on Pysch surfer and it's not going so well so far.
I have replacement 'in time' guitar parts (as compared to the guide) but I like the guide better. So I thought I would try bringing that into time and then reinforcing it with the new guitar recordings.
It still might work, but it has not so far.
I have 3 songs to mix so there's plenty to do, but I'm also doing Adult Stuff so it looks like there will be a lull for a week or two. Bugger.
Once I get the tracks up to basic stage, I'll do some online/youtube streamed mixing.
Stay frosty out there!
Theo will get through 3 tunes. by the time he's back, i will have advanced the mix.
