If we don't stop breaking them, they won't let us have any more.
What a weekend.
Bless you Doc, Emma and the carers at Muswellbrook District Hospital.
Big healing love to Carl, it's a fracture, he'll be off his feet for a while.
The medical system worked well here, yikes what a morning. Oh yeah,we also played a gig this weekend.
Ironic packaging after the hospital
Irony part 2
Irony part 3
My bad, apols for vague date and promo on this stuff.
We can play down there with the back doors shut, which is ok, but I kinda like the airflow, however we're still down with the neighbourly thing so until we work out what to do...
(sigh).
After 7 months, Hired Guns is still on the Australina Blues/Roots chart, albeit fromthe highs of #1 down to #25.
It was a good run :-)
Cheers to all the Dj's who spun the disc.
Finally, someone understands what it's like to be in this band :-)
Howdy Folks. That as an exciting weekend of gigs that went really well.
For the most part.
Refer to previous blog for all the fun we had on Friday.
On Saturday we executed a brilliant gig, right up to the last song. everyone was on the vibe, the band was firing...
When we decided to do an encore however...Here's a video metaphor.
Yep, right after a great set we did a version of Canned Heats on the road again and picked the wrong key, I had to quickly shift harps only to find that my my D harp went Kaplooie and my spare was lost in the shuffle after my case went flying at the previous nights gig. Having no harp for the harp solo and being out of vocal position was a crying shame, especially after such a good show.
Quelle Horreur, as the French would say.
I still had an audience member come up and tell me that was a great rendition. Go figure.
Before that, we were on fire.
I had learned my lesson from Fridays epic harp case fail and secured that little sucker.
Cheers to Steve, Gina, Bob, our visitors from Hornsby and all the folks who joined us for the night. As promised, never a dull moment :-)
