Happy New year for 2012!
Howdy folks, its an hour away from the main fireworks as I write this, and I am off to try and catch some of the sydney stuff.
So to you, Dear Reader, wherever you may be, Happy New Year!

Oh No! Our brilliant Metaphor in Island TIme will make no sense now that Samoa has brought their calendar into line with New Zealand and Australia.
The Chorus Lyric 'she's on Island Time, three hours ahead and I'm one day behind'...and the verse 'I can just go back to Yesterday' were all super-meaningful; when the Calendars were out by 1 day, but now that Australia and Samoa are in the same date zone, Yesterday is Today!
Talofa to all our Samoan friends, and in case you haven't heard the song or listened to it in a while: Island Time
Yep, its official, we're going Baaa-ck to the Tamworth Country Music Festival for 9 gigs in 11 days in mid January.
I'll blather on about the dates and times in due course...or you could always look up there in the calendar to your right.
With 4 albums done (well, 3.5 if you count Spacejunk as an EP, which you should) and the next one in pre production, we have the issue of what set to put together.
Now apparently, there are two schools of thought.
School 1
%@&# it. We'll play what we play.
School 2
Let's look at the feels of the songs, their style and content, the time of day, the likely audience and the venue and try to craft well thought out 'shows' by spending hours angst-ing over song and instrument arrangements, acoustic Vs Electric, guests/no guests....
Can you guess which option we took?
Ok, no worries, this will be simple, we just need to get all the songs on a sheet, cut them up into individual pieces and then start arranging them into sets.
Easy we'll put these here.
Umm...what about here...
Errr...what about here
Or we could always put them...
Ok, maybe we'll start again...
What if we used a laptop to help...
ARGH!!!!
A moment from our christmas eve gig:
Cheers to everyone who came out on a Christmas eve. That was a great way to end 2011's gigs, and instead of rabbiting on about the gig, there's only one additional thing to say. This shout out goes to all our friends in harms way:
We hope you all have a safe and wonderful end of year.
This just in, our valiant field reporter Val sends word that we'll be appearing at the 2012 Yackandandah Folk Festival! Get The Folk Out!
Thats right, we've freaked out the Blues Folks with Country, wigged the Country Folks out with Blues...What on earth will the Folk Folk make of us? Extra Mandolins all round! Where's my Kazoo?
Stay tuned for further updates as they come to hand!
Yep, all our dates for the coming month, plus the usual stuff :-)
Remember we can't send it to you if you havent signed up (hint - click on the 'sign up to the newsletter' link on the left menu thing there)
