We had a well spent Saturday night at the Bald Rock. I didn't get a chance to catch up with everyone, but thank you for all coming down. Cheers to Lindsay, Elsa, Mika, Suzanne, Claudette, Jeff, Dan, Terry, Victoria, Naomi, Jason and every one else. In particular, it was grand to see Kaye out for the night.
It was a fitting way to celebrate the ethos of a working band by working. The boys played particularly well and we were pleased to be able to share the fresh batch of the new album with the folks who were there.
With the imminent release of our 5th album, Hired Guns & Borrowed Glory, it's time to Cellar-brate 5 years of Stormcellar this Saturday night from 8:30 at the Bald Rock hotel, featuring special guests!
WOOP! WOOP!
It's done. it's done. AHAHAHAHAHA I'M FREEEE!! FREE!!! No more Artwork! AHAHAHAHA..aha...aa...err...um.
Yes, this last set of PDF's almost did for me.
Rosie took so many good shots down at Bawley point that this has been a difficult process. The main album concept art was easier than picking photos for the montage. What a shame we don't have more space, there are some glorious pics I just can't fit. I wish I had somewhere else to put them to show you what I mean.
Oh.
Right.
And a reminder of how pretty Bawley Point was
..and how empty the Cockatoo Room was
Hi Rixie!
Oh yeah, I guess we also posted a lot of pics and suchlike in the blog section for the album. Silly me, I forgot how multimedia we've become.
Anyway, the art is done, the album is in getting squished onto metal and plastic sandwiches of recording medium and ought to be available soon.
With that done, it's time to turn our attention to the next gig and our 5th anniversary! Yay! We should do some T-Shirts with some nice new artwork....Did someone say Artwork??? NOOOOOO!!!!!
Howdy Folks. Spotted this at the Jannali Inn at Saturday night's gig.
I think that's marketing genius.
A good time was had at Jannali on Saturday night, cheers to Dave, Steve and all the folks who spent the evening with us. Bill V has volunteered to do some sound work with us over the next little while so it was a good night for sound. Cheers Bill!
Here's some moments from the night. This is Rosie's solo from Feel So Blue:
Ah, yes, and Mr Alwert doing his bass stuff during 'scruff of your neck'. Seriously, you really ought to come hear him one night.
Same line up at this coming weekends gig, get out and hear'em while they're hot.
Back at the Baldy, this Saturday night 20th October 8:30pm, with some special stuff happening, but I am soo freaking busy sorting the last of this album art you'll have wait until I update this for extra details.
