While we work on the next batch, we're actively seeking influence from our environment and community.
That includes you, Dear Reader.
We're doing a few things - recording, making videos, experimenting.
We'll be opening up some of our recording, mixing and making sessions. A few people at a time.
If you're interested in being a physical part of what we do and are a Cellar Dweller (face it we know who you are, eh , eh?), look out for the invites.
I'll list them here and on FB.
Our hearty best wishes go out to Cypher, First Place in our mixing comp, and to Sick Bubba for claiming 2nd Place.
Thank you to everyone who submitted. That was so much fun we're sure to do it again.
Well done!
We're online a bit. It's good to be interconnected.
Earlier this week I felt like writing about social media. 10 years worth of it.
It's been a factor in my thinking recently as I have spent time online, seeing how many people are feeling sad - or is that just those online?
In small part, our awareness is that there are many whose suffering doesn't make the front page.
This social isolation punctuated by outrage.
For humans born, raised and radiated into social media for the last 20 years, it's a different world.
It's the world of Pumped Up Kicks; Tom Browns School days writ in brass casings.
Childhood and Puberty was always brutal. Maybe that's the part of us that goes back millennia deep.
Each hope and prayer we offer seems to be small candles snuffed out in a great and rising breeze.
The Storm rises, and it brings a reckoning. A reckoning with ourselves.
I'm sad, today, as I write. We are part of Us, all of us, that great amorphous us-ness of everyone.
We'll keep trying to offer a time out, whilst acknowledging the things that are going on right now, we can try to provide something else to think about for a moment.
Wherever you are, whatever you're up to, we hope you're well, safe and are taking shelter from the storm.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and staff of Parkland.
