Here's Theo, Rosie and Rixie taking a breather between sets
In a moment that Snowy would be proud of, some of the local lads were there to watch the football and Heckle (Play some Akka Dakka, play some Sabbath!) until we explained the song for Snowy (Snowy and the Boys) and substituted Derek (one of the guys) in the lyric. The song met with their strong approval as it pretty much described their own story.
Here's Dereks mates trying to balance a glass on one anothers head. This was amusing for a while until the glass fell off and smashed, followed by the the large Security Guy inviting them to depart.
Last night we did On The Road Again by Canned heat for the first time at a gig. it went so well we had to do it twice. By the second pass it had started to develop that hypnotic drone. It will be interesting to see how that progresses.
Oh, got a great moment of Michael Rix doing some Bass solo stuff during Scruff of your neck. Have a gander. The video drops out as soon as I have to grab my harp and return to playing...
We had a fun evening and we look forward to going back there soon. This next week is going to be very busy with the Pendle Hill gig on the Saturday and the Southern Fried Big Band experiment on Sunday. Hope to see you, Dear Reader, at one of these fine locations :-)
