A message to you, Rudie!
The 2nd weekend with 3 shows started with a trip to Muswellbrook.
Well it started with a trip to the rental car place, followed swiftly by a trip to an Alternate Hire Car Facility after a slight Customer Services Up Yours from a vendor.
I'm not naming and shaming. I took my $ to an alternative location and smiled. Very proud of myself for not suggesting EXPLETIVE DELETED with a penguin, and then CENSORED DUE TO GRAPHIC LANGUAGE with a toboggan.
I am glad we got the car with the awesome grip because even though the trip started in Sweet Weather...
Ahh sunset on the road
Mid way through, the weather turned Nasty and suddenly we were very glad of the improved road handling of a well maintained car.
At the Muswellbrook RSL, an acient 20th century tradition was being upheld
MEAT RAFFLE
I posted the pic on FB and was chastised by one of our non meat eating friends. I have since suggested a TOFU plate.
Thanks to the Muswellians who joined us for the evening and to Dr Tom for making the trek!
On Saturday night we played a jam packed show at Shady Pines.
Outside, Michael, Patrick Michael and Michael let me take a picture. So there are 3 Michaels and a half Michael. Patrick Michael told us a story about not being a Goblin.
Now I get a moment of gloating here. the prevailing wisdom of the Michaels was that the Shady Pines audience does not dance.
HA!
We put out a lot of wattage, even though the Laser's were VERBOTEN at Shadys :-(. Cheers to Wade and Angela. Sorry we didn't get to Hi Cost. The place was packed they danced, we played and the line on the door was long...
Sunday was the Fundraiser in katoomba for JO and I let this one happen organically.
Big cheers to Buster Chai and Morti Craiglassie, to Jo, the Family Hotel and all the folks that came out to support Jo.
SKAD4LIFE joined us for the event and Ryan and the boys put on a heck of a show. Definitely the hit of the afternoon.
Dear Reader, you're reading this and not coming to some of these shows, you may be having less fun that we are :-)
Thankyou to Sam for operating Sound, to John Barr for bass support and to Carmel, Jane and the family at the Family Hotel.
And as the sun set and the Lasers switched off. (Thanks to the DJ Warehouse) we set off once more for home base with a big grin, in the sure knowledge that Yep, we're back at it this weekend.
