BUMP!!
Ahem.
On behalf of our associates in KC, we remind youse wise guys out there, that the Kansas City Street Fair is on 29 June.
We send our respects.
Fuggedaboudit!
I mean DON'T Fuggedaboudit!
If you happen to be in KC or near by on the 29th of June, get on out to the circle L ranch and spend some time with some friends of ours.
Yeah. That's the case.
Almost recorded a guide track today. Came close, but other work over took us.
Argh.
We're doing the fun bit right now. Listening to tracks from other people, old stuff, cool fragments of things.
We're talking about Sounds, what we've done, what we'd like, wouldn't it be good to have a number that goes like this, how about this drum track.
For the keen Cellar Dweller, all these are signs of imminent work.
For example.
'Crossfire' is a new song we wrote for CC and DH to do. We're ready for 2nd stage guide track which means drums.
I need a clean version so I put it on repeat and listen to it while I fix my current 2nd verse which is not good. Well. Non existent. Sort of.
These are the hallmarks of work. A little sanding, a little angle grinding, a little painting.
There's no rush, merely the scheduling necessary to have the maximum available fun.
* we tied with The Foreday Riders, but the marketing department insisted on this headline.
Well done to the 'Riders, Milena and all the Cigars who won the rest of the awards.
That was unexpected.
The Guys did the best version of Bloomington so far.
Thanks to the Sydney Blues Society for having us for the evening.
It was grand to have Jo with us.
It's Sunday and there's talk of the band getting together for a meal and to go over new songs.
You'd be a mug to miss the chance to be with your people. Wherever you are, we hope you're with yours.
Achoo.
We all got sick of trading germs so everyone's been in isolation.
Because our community live in different parts of the city and state and some have kids, it's been a wonderful swap meet for minor sniffles.
(sniff). Humans. We need level 14 decontamination.
As the season passes and the marsupials emerge into a bright, cold winter, and Sydney receives some blessed rain, signs of life have emerged from the cellar fellers.
After some reasonable research and planning, it's time to get on with a few of the pending projects.
The hard part is working out what to do. the rest is merely logistics and weather :-)
SBS 40th B'Day this weekend. Set planning beckons.
Jo's with us (yay).
Three months worth of trial and error have yielded the few things to have a go at during this next quarter, looks to be a productive winter.
You'll see more making-of stuff as soon as we start making stuff. Otherwise I'd be posting spreadsheets and google results ;-)
